NEW - Year 13 final day

Our wonderful year 13 students finished school last Friday.  As is tradition, they came suitably dressed according to the theme this year of “S” (for Sandringham), decided by the senior students. It was a superb morning and ended with a lovely celebration assembly. > view full article

NEW - School prefects

We are delighted to announce the appointment of over 100 year 10 students to the position of school prefect for 2016-2017. The new prefects have received training and their prefect tie, and have begun working with staff to further improve the school. Well done everyone!   > view full article

Silicon Valley Trip

On Saturday 2nd April, 31 year 11 to 13 students, along with 3 members of staff, flew out to San Francisco as part of the Computer Science faculty’s Silicon Valley Trip. The trip involved many visits, tours and talks at a number of technology and computer science based attractions and companies. The week started with a visit to the Exploratorium Museum in San Francisco. The museum was a hands-on exploration of science, art and human perception. > view full article

Top 100 non-selective state schools in England

One of the best schools in England! Sandringham has received another letter of congratulations from the Minister of State for Schools, Nick Gibb MP on being one of the top 100 non-selective state-funded schools in England for our GCSE performance including 5A* - C with English and mathematics in 2015. In addition, we are also in the top 100 non-selective state-funded schools in England for EBACC performance. > view full article

Sandringham students and staff visit Farafenni for the grand opening of the school hall

This half term the largest ever Sandringham group visited our partner school in The Gambia. Eleven students from years 11-13 together with Ms Ashley, Mr Gray and myself arrived in Banjul on Friday afternoon after a 6 hour flight. We spent the weekend at the coast getting used to the temperature and seeing the local sights, including Charlie, the famous crocodile and seeing Bakau fish market in full swing as the fishing boats returned with their catch. > view full article

Velocity 2016 - Stunning!

Velocity 2016 was another huge success. The students performed 24 amazing pieces of dance from all genres. Once again the SandPit Crew pulled out all the stops this year by creating a virtual World using powerful projectors that transformed the dance area into a perfect backdrop for every dance. > view full article

Dr Kevin Fong opens new maths/science building

We were delighted to welcome Dr. Kevin Fong to open our new £3m maths/science and computing building on Monday.  As you may know, Kevin has delivered a number of key science documentaries and most recently gave the Royal Institute Christmas lectures on BBC. The students were able to ask Kevin questions about his work before he formally opened the new building. > view full article
