Admissions consultation - changes for 2017/18

Following discussions with the Local Authority, the governing body of Sandringham School Academy Trust have agreed to consult on a temporary change to admission rules for 2017/2018, as shown in the attached documents. Spanish Exchange

Our second Spanish Exchange took place in October when 19 students from years 9 and 10 spent the week with their Spanish exchange partners in Seville and attended lessons at the Europa International School. > view full article

Silver DoE expedition

The new Duke of Edinburgh season begins with year 11 Silver practice expeditions. The first group of 36 students set off for the South Downs to complete their 50km three-day expedition, in preparation for the assessment later in the year. Year 7 Peak District trip

MONDAY:      The first half of year 7 left for the Peak District at 9.30 a.m. Monday morning, travelling up the M1 and then on to Carsington Water reservoir for lunch. Despite the wet weather, spirits were high and as usual, the students' behaviour was exemplary.  > view full article

Blended learning environment

From the start of this term, all students now bring their own tablet device to school as a normal part of their equipment. We piloted the scheme with selected year groups last year to ensure this was a robust and powerful way forward in education. All staff in the school are fully trained in the use of devices to enhance learning to provide what we call a blended learning environment, where traditional and modern methods are used to deliver outstanding education. > view full article
