World Class Schools
Since 2013 Sandringham have been a founder member of the World Class Schools network.
Many secondary schools in England already judged 'outstanding' by Ofsted have moved beyond this judgement. They have improved student progress, aspiration and achievement to such an extent that their standards rival those of the best schools internationally.
The World Class Schools Quality Mark provides this recognition. Parents want to know which secondary schools in the country are exceptional; universities want to know which schools are most successful at preparing students to excel in higher education; businesses want to know which schools are developing the brightest potential employees. The World Class Schools Quality Mark provides parents, universities and businesses with what they want to know, and enhance England's internationally esteemed reputation for secondary education.
World Class Students
It is the calibre of the student which proves the calibre of the school. If the school is truly World Class then the students will be able to own and demonstrate World Class qualities.
A World Class student
- is highly literate scientifically, mathematically, technologically and culturally
- consistently out-performs students from similar contexts, and is committed to continually improving their performance
- is an excellent learner, dedicated to life- long learning
- is a compelling candidate in their field for higher education and/or employment, being globally aware , confident and prepared for life in an international environment
Students at Sandringham consistently meet this high bar and is the aspiration for us as educators to help them reach it.
