On 13th June, the second volume of our IGNITE journal was launched. IGNITE is the main super-curricular project which High Starters (formerly Gifted & Talented) work on over the whole year. Seventy-four students have their areas of passion and interests represented in the journal, that can be downloaded in PDF format below. Articles ranged from Mayan ball games, history of tanks to the behaviour of foxes and building a computer.
We were fortunate to be joined by University Challenge celebrity Bobby Seagull and Noel Hurley, a senior manager at ARM holdings, the leading chip designer. Bobby and Noel gave inspirational speeches to the young people and encouraged them to keep developing their talents and follow their dreams.
Thanks to Martin Young, Director of Learning for Economics and Business for leading the High Starters projects throughout the year.
