The Learning Resource Centre
Sandringham Learning Resource Centre is a vibrant and busy place with an excellent selection of resources.
The Learning Resource Centre provides a spacious and welcoming environment where students can read and study independently, and includes a classroom area, computer suite, study tables and comfortable seating area for quiet reading.
Staffed by Ms Kirby, Miss Critchley, Mrs Thomas and Mrs Blandford, the LRC is situated on the first floor of K Block. A wide range of fiction and non-fiction is available for students to borrow on a three-week loan, and students can access the LRC’s online resources.
The LRC is open daily 8:30 to 4:00pm. Students are welcome at break, lunch and after school.
Our team of experienced librarians are available to recommend great reads and to help students find and discover books to support their learning. Reading challenges are run for Years 7 and 8, and students have the opportunity to volunteer in the LRC. The LRC promotes reading for pleasure, supports the curriculum and super curriculum, and aims to foster a love of reading, develop research skills and inspire curiosity.
Students can browse the Library Webb App where they can access our full catalogue and reserve books for collection.
