We are committed to ensuring that students are safe when using the internet at Sandringham School.
Nonetheless, much of a child’s internet usage occurs outside of school, and we ask parents/carers to be interested, supportive and vigilant to their children’s usage. Within the curriculum at school students are educated about appropriate use of technologies, the dangers of misuse and how to report concerns. We make use of time in Computer Science lessons, Lifelong Learning (LL) and assemblies to ensure that the most up to date and relevant content is delivered to our students.
We are pleased to announce that on Wednesday 13th November we have secured an Online Safety Specialist from a company called Connected Minds to deliver an information session for parents/carers. This event will commence at 6:30pm in the Main Hall. We would welcome parents from any year group to attend. In order for us to secure an approximation of numbers, we would ask for you to complete a brief sign up via this link – www.bit.ly/32fgfgL.
