Year 8 into 9 Modules

Most schools offer the same subjects to all students at Key Stage 3. At Sandringham, we have a different approach in Year 9 and provide students with an opportunity to make a choice of some subjects in preparation for taking GCSEs and vocational qualifications in Years 10 and 11. Year 9 is a crucial year and it is important that students make the most of their time, studying subjects which interest them and provide a platform for good GCSE examination success.

This booklet below explains the options available in the Year 9 Modular Curriculum. We recommend that students sit down with their family and explore the possibilities available to ensure that good choices are made.

Students will learn more about the Modules in their assembly on June 23rd and at the Module Fayre in the Gym after school on Thursday 25th June. Students have until July 2nd to make their choices.
