Teaching Assistant – Visual Impairment

We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant for 30 hours a week, term time only, from September 2020 to support Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within the area of Visual Impairment. The successful candidate will be working alongside a member of Curriculum Access Specialist (CAS) staff, provided by the VI service. This role will involve a combination of preparing resources, in class practical support and shadowing and skill sharing to deliver targeted support for a high needs VI student. The right candidate will enjoy working with a team to support with the planning and implementation of specific support and resources. This role is explicitly linked to High Needs SEND Funding and is therefore initially fixed term for one year.
