This page provides more information on applying for jobs with us and additional information on the school. Sandringham is a non-selective, mixed secondary comprehensive school for students aged 11-18 in St Albans and part of the Ambition Education Trust. We were recognised as an Outstanding school by OFSTED in our last inspection (click here to view Ofsted Reports). Our GCSE results continually place the school in the 100 top performing non-selective schools in the country and our A Level results are equally impressive. This means staff are able to experience teaching at the highest standard and develop their skills to meet this challenge. We are the lead school for the Alban Teaching School Hub and work in close partnership with many local secondary and primary schools. We offer Schools Direct Training through the Initial Teacher Training at Alban TSH . A high percentage find employment with schools locally. Our ECT package provides an enhanced induction programme for all of our Early Career Teachers (ECTs), commencing with our 3-week summer induction programme at the beginning of July. The induction programme is delivered at home schools as well as jointly, enabling all ECTs to meet their peers within the Trust. Individual support is provided by subject and senior leader mentors and we offer subject specific as well as general training through the Alban Teaching School Hub (Alban TSH) and Herts for Learning (HfL) events. All vacancies are advertised on our vacancy page and on Teach in Herts. Teaching positions are also advertised online with TES. We are always interested in hearing from people who are keen to work with us.
