Welcome to Sandringham – your new school.
We would like to welcome you to Sandringham School and what will be the start of a wonderful period in your lives. Secondary school is incredibly exciting, challenging and rewarding and you will join many thousands of children who have been educated at the school.
Welcome letter from Mr Kemp, Assistant Headteacher
My name is Mr Kemp and I will be delighted to welcome you all to Sandringham School in September! Alongside other members of staff I will soon be contacting all of your teachers at your primary schools and can’t wait to hear a plethora of brilliant things about all of the students joining us. I am sure the Class of 2021 will be the best year group that Sandringham has ever had!
The process of preparing for starting at Sandringham begins during April when I, and other staff will visit your primary schools to meet our class of 2022 and their teachers.

Year 7 Resources
Moving on: Learning Resource Centre – Suggested Reads
We would like you to use this list during the summer to read at least one of the books or hopefully more during the holidays. You can, of course, read other books by the same author on this list. We look forward to talking about them with you when you arrive at school in September.
We really enjoy receiving recommendations from students, so if we do not have your favourite book, please let us know and we may be able to buy it for the Library.
Some books are also available in eBook format via our VLe Books website (see MySandstorm under “Library”) once you start school.
For your information you will be given time during lessons to visit the Library regularly and you will also need a fiction book to read during registration periods.
We hope that you enjoy the stories you choose to read, and we look forward to meeting you in September when you become a member of our Learning Resource Centre.
