Personal Development
The Personal Development curriculum intent is to ensure that every student leaves Sandringham with: Personal Development is taught for two hours a week in Year 7 and one hour week in all other years from Year 8 – 13. The major and minor themes covered each year in the Personal Development curriculum are: These themes are studied each year so students can progressively build on their knowledge and revisit key statutory content. Within these themes, students will study content that is age appropriate and allows them to use prior knowledge to improve understanding. As part of curriculum quality assurance, each academic year we host a Relationships and Sex Education Parents Information Evening in December/January. This evening provides information about the curriculum content/delivery and allows consultation on the statutory relationships and sex education taught in the subject.
